Crystal and fine gold from France
Baccarat forms the Octogone from crystal and then gilds it by hand with fine gold. Clean edges and smooth surfaces catch the light of candles and fairy lights and reflect it back. At around 7 cm, the ornament remains compact. Its weight of approximately 400 g shows how much crystal is contained in this small object: you will feel the difference from ordinary glass decorations as soon as you pick it up.
The shape of the Baccarat chandeliers
The octagon is no arbitrary motif. Octagonal crystal pendants hang from Baccarat chandeliers, and the Octogone takes up exactly this outline. In this way, the ornament brings an element of the great chandeliers to the Christmas tree, at the scale of a single decoration.
On the tree, on a branch, in the collection
Among green fir branches, the golden crystal ornament adds a calm, festive accent. It suits traditionally decorated trees as well as a pared-back display with a few carefully chosen pieces. It can equally be displayed on a decorative branch or on an ornament stand. Baccarat describes the Octogone as an Annual Ornament: a piece assigned to the 2026 collection. This makes the Baccarat Christmas tree decoration a fitting gift for Christmas 2026 and a start or addition to a collection that grows year after year.
