From Parisian trading house to royal manufacturer
It all began in 1934/1824 with the trade in carpets and floor coverings — but soon the Braquenié brothers joined the business, and it became a workshop for the highest quality textiles. In 1875, King Leopold II awarded the Maison the title of ‘Manufacture Royale’ — a knighthood that would elevate Braquenié for its preciousness, craftsmanship and style.
