Koshi - "L'art et la matière" belongs to the Hanji - Koshi variant of the Hanji series by Élitis. It presents a finely structured geometric motif that playfully captures light and shadow - like an abstract mosaic made of paper pulp. The relief-like embossed surfaces are kept in natural shades (e.g. white, cream, deep gray, caramel) and create a subtle depth effect through variations of matt and pearlescent. The design is inspired by the art of traditional wall mosaics from the mid-20th century. Made from 100% paper on non-woven backing and completely handmade, each panel is individual and original. The mural is permanently flame-retardant and offers a natural feel without textile components.
