  • 56% viscose, 30% cotton, 14% linen Material
  • 138 cm Width
  • 35,000 Rub cycles
  • 23 cm horizontal, 9 cm vertical Pattern repeat
  • 5 Colourways

Material and composition

Three fibres define Daxton. Viscose makes up the largest share at 56%, cotton follows with 30%, and linen completes the blend with 14%. Viscose is a cellulose fibre, while cotton and linen are natural fibres: the fabric is therefore made entirely of fibres of plant origin. The width of 138 cm allows generous curtain drops and sufficient cutting room for upholstery pieces.

Jane Churchill Daxton as a curtain and upholstery fabric

Villa Kontor classifies Jane Churchill Daxton as both a curtain fabric and an upholstery fabric. You can use it for curtains, cushions or furniture covers, and so style a room with a single fabric. When upholstering furniture, abrasion resistance matters: 35,000 rub cycles are stated for Daxton. For heavily used seating, it is worth discussing the intended use before ordering.

Colourways

Daxton is available in Aqua, Beige, Gold, Green and Leaf. The colourways share the same composition, width and pattern repeat, so you choose purely by colour and the effect in your room.

Tip

The pattern repeat of Jane Churchill Daxton measures 23 cm horizontally and 9 cm vertically. When cutting curtain drops or upholstery pieces, allow extra fabric so that the pattern runs continuously across seams and joins between drops.
