Material: The colour sits within the fibre
With solution-dyed polyester, the colour pigment is added to the molten plastic before it is made into yarn. The colour therefore lies inside every fibre and not just on its surface. Jane Churchill makes Duke entirely from this material.
For upholstery covers, one figure matters above all: the rub cycles. They indicate how many abrasion cycles a fabric withstands in testing. Jane Churchill Duke achieves 50,000 rub cycles.
