The Kurland collection goes back to a commission awarded to the Berlin manufactory in 1790 by Peter von Biron, Duke of Courland. Its sculpted relief has shaped the form for more than two centuries. For the 225th anniversary, KPM Berlin presented the currywurst dish in 2015. Thomas Wenzel took the familiar wave shape of the snack-bar tray and carried it over into the classic relief.
