The Kvadrat Air Line curtain fabric combines 100% linen with a clear graphic idea: fine, transparent lines run vertically across a textured ground. The design alternates rhythmically between plain and patterned, and the semi-sheer curtain traces daylight along these lines.

Material and workmanship
Kvadrat has Air Line woven from spun linen yarn in a dobby weave, and it is manufactured in Turkey. The vertical pattern repeat measures 6 cm, and the weight is approximately 560 g per linear metre. Linen is a renewable, biodegradable raw material. The fibre absorbs moisture, releases it again and feels cool to the touch. As Air Line is woven as a mono-material, Kvadrat describes the fabric as recyclable.
For curtains, the qualities that last for years are what count: lightfastness reaches 6 to 8 according to ISO 105-B02, and Kvadrat states shrinkage of around 1% in both warp and weft. The manufacturer grants a 2-year guarantee.

Air Line belongs to the Frequency collection and is intended for curtains in living areas. At around 315 cm wide, the roll offers plenty of fabric for generous window fronts. The palette comprises five melange shades, from White Linen and Light Ash through Hazel to Mosswood and Northern Pine. The light shades appear understated, while the darker ones make a bolder statement. Slight colour variations may occur due to production.

Tip
