Kanou by Kvadrat is a purist interpretation of classic canvas: a densely woven plain-coloured fabric made from organic cotton and hemp. The curtain fabric Kvadrat Kanou belongs to the Frequency collection and is available in a width of 310 cm. It is designed for calm spaces in which the material itself sets the tone.

Material and workmanship
Kvadrat weaves Kanou in a plain weave from spun staple-fibre yarn. The composition of 68% organic cotton and 32% hemp combines two natural fibres from renewable raw materials. The Aero Finish smooths the surface and gives the fabric its characteristic handle. Kanou is manufactured in Turkey, and Kvadrat provides a two-year guarantee.
Because Kanou is made from natural fibres, foreign fibres may occasionally appear in the weave. They are part of the material and are not a defect.
Kvadrat Kanou in the room
The colour palette of Kanou is inspired by the natural shades of the cotton plant. The six coordinated tones are called Paper, Pure Cotton, Powder, Pale Sky, Parchment and Peppercorn. Kvadrat describes the fabric as suitable for many interiors, especially for calm, naturally styled rooms.
The dense weave gives curtains body and a calm drape. As colour variations between production batches are possible, we recommend using fabric from a single batch for one window or one room.

Tip
Kvadrat states shrinkage of around 2% in warp and weft for Kanou. Please allow for a corresponding margin when sewing. Wash with a mild detergent without optical brightener, fill the drum only halfway and iron the fabric while damp.
