Regos is a knitted upholstery fabric designed by Patricia Urquiola for Kvadrat. The Kvadrat Regos fabric combines a face of yarn-dyed wool with a back of recycled polyester and features an irregular, two-tone pattern. Kvadrat produces it in the Netherlands, using a filling yarn made predominantly from production offcuts from its own brand, Kvadrat Febrik.

Material and Production of Kvadrat Regos Fabric
Kvadrat knits Regos as a double knit with two layers. The visible side is yarn-dyed wool, while the back is made of yarn-dyed recycled polyester from PET bottles. Between the two layers runs a filling yarn, produced in the Netherlands and made predominantly from post-industrial waste from Kvadrat Febrik. In this way, textile offcuts from the brand's own production find their way back into a new fabric. You will find the complete fibre composition, including wool, recycled wool, recycled polyester, nylon and other fibres from textile waste, in the properties table.
Pattern and Effect in the Room
The name derives from regolith, the loose layer above solid rock that covers the surface of the Moon. Patricia Urquiola translates this image into an abstract knitted pattern: contrasting tones and scattered motifs break up the even grid and give the surface depth. Up close, you can read the structure; from a distance, the cover appears calm. Regos is available in twelve colourways, each with its own interplay of tones.

With 100,000 Martindale rubs and a pilling rating of 4–5 according to EN ISO 12945, Regos is designed for upholstered furniture in both domestic and contract settings. The fabric width of 150 cm allows you to cover sofas and larger seating areas as well.
