Kvadrat Reverse

Product information "Kvadrat Reverse"

Kvadrat Reverse is a lightweight, semi-transparent curtain fabric made from flame-retardant, recycled polyester, designed by Katrin Greiling for the Danish textile manufacturer Kvadrat. The fabric has two faces: one side carries an accent colour, the other a muted natural tone. When you hang Kvadrat Reverse curtain fabric, you therefore decide for yourself which side faces into the room.

  • 100% polyester FR, recycled Material
  • 310 cm Width
  • Reversible Fabric with two colour sides
  • Semi-transparent Light transmission
  • DIN 4102 B1, EN 13501-1 B-s1, d0 Fire behaviour

Material and construction

Reverse belongs to the Frequency collection. Kvadrat weaves the fabric as a jacquard from spun yarn, producing an airy, double-sided fabric with a distinct linen character. It does not contain any linen: the composition is 100% polyester FR, recycled. Because Reverse is made from a single material, Kvadrat classes it as a mono-material. The fabric is manufactured in Turkey, and Kvadrat provides a two-year guarantee.

Kvadrat Reverse curtain fabric in the room

Reverse is semi-transparent. The fabric softens daylight and takes the sharpness out of views in, without darkening the room. Its moiré-like structure comes from the interplay of the two colour sides. When light passes through the fabric, the tones blend and gain depth. The palette ranges from Beech, Sandshell and Stony Grey to Brick, Juniper and Night Shadow. The fabric is 310 cm wide.

For homes and contract spaces

Kvadrat has had Reverse tested to numerous fire standards, including DIN 4102 B1, EN 13501-1 (B-s1, d0), EN 13773 Class 1, BS 5867 Part 2 Type B and NFPA 701. This makes the fabric suitable for hotels, offices and medical practices where fire safety certificates are required. In sound absorption testing to EN ISO 354 (100 mm), Reverse achieves a value of 0.15 when pleated, Class E. Kvadrat provides a Greenguard Gold certificate for Reverse to download.

Care instructions for Kvadrat Reverse

  • Machine wash up to 30 °C
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Iron at low temperature (max. 110 °C)
  • Professional dry cleaning

Tip

Kvadrat recommends washing Reverse curtains at least once a year, more often with heavy use, using a detergent without optical brighteners. Dust and dirt reduce the flame-retardant effect of the fabric.
