Kvadrat Set In is a reversible satin for curtains, designed by Studio Meyers & Fügmann. The curtain fabric is made from 100% recycled Trevira CS and shows a rich colour on one side and a lightened shade of the same tone on the other. Kvadrat weaves it at a width of 330 cm.

Material and manufacture
Kvadrat has Set In woven in Italy. The yarn is a specially spun Trevira CS which, as a staple yarn, acquires a wool-like structure; the fabric therefore looks more like a fine worsted than a smooth polyester. The yarn comes from production waste, and the fabric is made from a single material.
Trevira CS is permanently flame retardant. For Set In, Kvadrat cites tests including EN 13501-1 B-s1,d0, DIN 4102 B1, NFPA 701 and BS 5867 Part 2 Type B. Please check the requirements that apply in a particular room on a case-by-case basis.

Set In is semi-transparent: the satin softens the daylight without darkening the room. You decide which side faces the room, the saturated colour or the lighter shade. The colour palette ranges from neutral and pastel tones to more intense colours; Villa Kontor offers twelve colourways.
The fabric also contributes acoustically. In accordance with EN ISO 354, Set In achieves a sound absorption coefficient αw of 0.35 (class D) when gathered, and 0.20 (class E) when hung flat. The fabric belongs to Kvadrat's Frequency collection.

Tip
The reverse of Set In is lighter. When cutting and sewing, make sure all panels are made up with the same side facing forward, and allow for around 2% shrinkage in the warp and 1% in the weft.

Which side of Kvadrat Set In is the front?
Both sides can be used: one shows the saturated colour, the other a lightened shade. Within a single curtain, all panels should show the same side.
Is Kvadrat Set In flame retardant?
Yes. Set In is made from flame-retardant, recycled Trevira CS and, according to Kvadrat, has been tested to EN 13501-1 (B-s1,d0) and DIN 4102 (B1), among others.
Can I wash curtains made from Set In?
Yes, on a gentle cycle up to 60 °C, without bleach and without tumble drying. Kvadrat recommends washing curtains about once a year with a detergent free of optical brighteners, because dust reduces the flame-retardant effect.
