Trapped in heaven is a luxurious curtain designed by renowned artist Danh Vo. It incorporates a moving French quote in striking woven script that references the artist's father's calligraphy. When light falls on the curtain, a delicate and tranquil moiré effect is created on its surface, allowing the plain textile to reflect the colors of its surroundings.
The curtain is woven in both single and double layers in a jacquard weave. This playful technique results in the letters being woven as pockets, surrounded by the single layer background. This ingenious construction creates an elegant transparency on the surface and gives the curtain a tactile multidimensionality.
Made from 74% recycled Trevira CS, Trapped in Heaven transforms industrial waste into a sculptural textile. The fabricis flame-retardant and is suitable for a wide range of commercial applications. It can be hung vertically and horizontally. As a remarkable statement piece, it is particularly suitable for restaurants.
