The Trudon Altaïr Scented Candle 2800 g is the large format of the Altaïr collection: 2.8 kilograms of scented wax in an amber glass vessel, 21.5 cm tall and 18 cm in diameter. Five cotton wicks carry a floral, woody fragrance of peony and oud even into large rooms.

The Fragrance: Peony, Oud and Leather
Altaïr opens with raspberry and peony. At its heart follow agarwood, also known as oud, sandalwood and rose; cedarwood and leather form the base. Trudon assigns the composition by perfumer Émilie Bouge to the floral-woody fragrance family. The flowers open the scent, while the wood carries it for hours.
Glass from Tuscany, Made in Normandy
Trudon makes the candle in its own workshop in Normandy. The vessel is handmade in Tuscany, and every glass is one of a kind. Its shape echoes the champagne bucket, and the emblem references a bas-relief from the old royal wax manufactory. The large candle has wick stoppers: as soon as they become visible, the flame goes out by itself, leaving about 3 cm of wax in the glass.
