Trudon sums up Altaïr briefly as “oud and peony”. In the top note, raspberry and peony meet. At the heart follow agarwood, sandalwood and rose. Cedarwood and leather form the base, giving the floral opening a dry, woody foundation.
Glass, wicks and origin
The amber-coloured glass filters the light of the flames, giving it a warm glow. Three cotton wicks melt the surface of the 800 g candle evenly. Wick stoppers extinguish the flame automatically as soon as they become visible; at least 3 cm of wax then remains in the glass. By its own account, Trudon makes its candles in its workshop in Normandy.
