Handcrafted in brass
Trudon makes the cone-shaped candle snuffer by hand, so every piece has its own character. It is made of brass and measures around 19 cm. It is designed for a single gesture, which you will repeat on every candlelit evening.
How the Trudon candle snuffer puts out taper candles
You lower the snuffer calmly over the flame instead of blowing it out. According to Trudon, the flame disappears without smoke, and the wick is neither pinched nor smothered. It stays upright and catches light easily the next time you light it. The L'éteignoir à chandelles is designed for taper candles and is not intended for candles in glass.
For the set table and as a gift
Wherever taper candles are burning, such as at a candlelit dinner, the snuffer rests within easy reach beside the candlestick. Trudon supplies it in an illustrated slide-out box. This makes it a fine gift, also together with Trudon taper candles, which are available separately.
