Trudon L'éteignoir Cylindre
Product information "Trudon L'éteignoir Cylindre"
The L'éteignoir Cylindre is a Trudon candle snuffer designed by Pauline Deltour for the house's scented candles. Instead of blowing out the flame, a slim brass hook pushes the wick into the liquid wax. The candle goes out without smoke, and the wick remains undamaged.

How the Trudon candle snuffer works
Blowing out a candle stirs up smoke and soot. Trudon's L'éteignoir Cylindre works differently: you use the brass hook to dip the burning wick into the molten wax, and the flame goes out. According to Trudon, the wick is neither crushed nor damaged in the process, and no smoke is produced.
The second step is just as simple. Lift the wick straight back up immediately and stand it upright. It is now coated in wax and is easy to light again next time.
A tool for your daily candle ritual
At 21 cm long and 2.0 cm in diameter, the L'éteignoir Cylindre is slim enough to stay beside the candle on the table, the sideboard or the mantelpiece. Pauline Deltour designed it as a tabletop accessory that you need not hide away in a drawer.
Trudon supplies the candle snuffer in an illustrated slide-open box. This makes it a fitting gift for anyone who already appreciates Trudon scented candles. The candles themselves are available separately.
