BALADA & CO. is a young label that focuses on sustainable design and attaches great importance to the conscious use of people and resources. The up-and-coming company was founded in 2015 by Munich-based object designer Christian von Petersdorff, who is responsible for the creations and design. His designs are intended to be simple & unobtrusive, which can sometimes be seen in the attention to detail.
After a successful appearance in Germany, Switzerland and Scandinavia in 2016 and a successful trade fair appearance at Light + Building 16 in Frankfurt in 2016, the German company established itself in the field of lighting design. The nomination for the German Brand Award 2017 is decisive for the young but successful history of BALADA & CO.

What makes BALADA & CO. Lighting is the manufacturing concept of making sustainability and quality a top priority. Since the company was founded, the aim has been and will continue to be to create timeless objects with lasting value. The design, which impresses with its reduced and clear design language, is produced using high-quality materials from Europe. The longevity of the luminaires is partly due to the conscious decision to produce the lighting concepts with regional suppliers.
A high proportion of manual work underlines the manufacturing concept of regional craftsmanship and thus creates the individual look of the luminaires. They are all manufactured in Germany, with each part being oiled and polished by hand. The lampshades are trimmed with a fine border - which is essential for the elegant finish of each product.
