Origins & Ideals
Founded in the 1930s by visionary industrialist Marcel Boussac, Boussac is based on the principle of holistic fabric production: from spinning and weaving to printed textiles. In 1934, Boussac acquired the printing works of the traditional manufacturer in Wesserling, Alsace, and turned it into a centre for iconic fabric printing. He demonstrated his pioneering spirit in 1946 when he replaced the classic wooden panel with modern flat screens for his prints.
